I have been working for a few days now, trying all of the different libraries out there. None of them seem to work anymore since the Alexa is now forcing that you add a skill for the wemo. So unless I am wrong, and I hope I am, none of these emulators will work anymore. Someone please tell me I am wrong.

fauxmo still works. Alexa doesn't require a skill for Wemo devices either. I've got six Echos in my home, 12 Wemo emulated devices, and they all work.

Alexa/Echo now sends a "Get State" request if you access the device via the Alexa App, but they all still work normal via voice control.

If Echo Show is the only device in the network then it won't discover emulated devices. Echo Dot is required to discover and operate emulated devices

Similarly Echo (Gen 2) does not discover emulated devices. Amazon seems to have axed the functionality from all newer devices except (Echo Dot)

@angel2004 Does this make it work with other echo devices? If so, you should definitely make a pull request back to this repo and close this issue. I just have echo dots so can't test this myself.

I have Echo Dot 3 and it worked fine with Fauxmo. I just run it more than 24 hours and did not reset or crash.

I also used AsynchWebserver of me-no-dev, but I have to change the port number of the AsynchWebserver other than 80, which is obviously used by Alexa. I used 8080 for the AsycWebserver, for my mobile App control.
