Hello ! Welcome to Xeneva OS v1.0, well today it's April 14, 2024 (Happy Bohag Bihu to all). Xeneva is an Operating System project from North-East India, Assam. The project started in 2019 and today the first version is here.

What's there in v1.0.0 ??

Well, Xeneva is still not evolved fully, but it continues to, ….
Currently it includes:
1> x64 based Kernel
2> USB3 (not fully functional, but it can recognize device attachment/detachment)
3> Sound Subsystem with 48.000Hz, 16-bit format, Intel High-Definition Audio as main audio hardware
4> SMP support
5> Compositing Window Manager called "Deodhai"
6> Graphics and Widget library known as "Chitralekha Graphics & Widget Library"
7> Xeneva Terminal Subsystem
8> Xeneva Desktop Environment called "Namdapha Desktop"
10> Basic Applications GUI: Calculator, Accent Player, File Navigator, Xeneva Terminal with ANSI/VT100 support,
TUI: play (A simple wave file player)

How to run Xeneva / Requirements ??

Xeneva still lacks "Real Machine support", but it can be run on emulators such as
Virtual Box or VMware Workstation

Requirements:

  1> _"Xeneva1.0.0.vhd"_ attached on AHCI/SATA controller port 1
  2> NVMe controller with empty hard disk , as system don't run without it
  3> Processor Count - 3, EFI enabled with ICH9 chipset, Xeneva don't run under PIIX3 chipset
  4> PS/2 Mouse device as pointing device, as USB3 HID devices are not functional
  5> Intel HD Audio as Audio Controller
  6> USB 3.0 (xHCI Controller) as USB Controller
  7> I/O APIC required 
  8> Your comments, _STARS_, Pull Requests or contributions to run the system smoothly
