Task

To validate the features modified by @mapbox/team-data as part of mapping exit numbers and destination task in USA.

screen shot 2016-06-13 at 1 00 36 pm
Task areas for 9 states and 30 cities. Map link

Background

Per #178, #169 and #165

The following numbers of features were modified during the quest for adding destination and exit numbers on motorways in US. The task was carried for 9 states and 30 cities with good mapillary coverage

Tag Added by Team
destination 2071
destination:ref 1736
destination:street 351
ref 91
noref 241

We reviewed

  • ~220 highways in the 9 states.
  • ~320 highways in the 30 cities.

Stuff to look for

  • Geometry; look for the correct extent of motorway_link having destination tags. The way going back to motorway should not have destination tag.
  • Tag; checking the correctness of tag added using mapillary imagery/DOT documents - spelling, correct use key and use of ; for multiple values.

Time-line: ~ 3 days 10 days (This is due to the fact that we used multiple sources while mapping destinations in 9 states)
