that error does not show anything helpful. Can you run it again and post the entire thing? (I think you missed some error output earlier on). |
You bet, here is the entire log file: 0 info it worked if it ends with ok |
Still nothing in that output that actually says what went wrong. Could you try using the latest node-sqlite3, which is |
@springmeyer it does work on osx, I tried it on 10.8, just doesn't work on my windows 7 box. I cleaned the cache and tried the specific version. npm install sqlite3@2.1.10 |
Thanks for looking at this btw. |
okay, that one bails sooner. It looks like the tar.gz depedency is breaking because it has a |
Can you try checking on node-sqlite3 master repo from github, manually placing tar.gz, and then run |

I'm guessing this isn't a problem on older versions of npm. Considering I was using the latest version on windows 7 on my node 0.10 install that included npm 1.1 I think. I do not exactly remember what the version was... but this wasn't an issue until I upgraded to 0.11 and 0.11.1 of node which upgraded npm to 1.2.18. |
@dkleehammer - sounds right. |
@dkleehammer - I just dropped the tar.gz dependency. Can you try the build again using latest master? |
Just to add in my 2c. At the moment sqlite3 2.1.14 builds fine on the current stable version of node 0.10.15, on the 0.8 branch at 0.8.25 and is also building fine up to and including 0.11.3. It is only on the latest version 0.11.4 that I am unable to build sqlite3 (tested on on mac). I believe this is a known issue, but if not I'll open it? Gist of the build output on node 0.11.4: https://gist.github.com/ErisDS/6111388 |
closing. I do not plan to support > v0.11.3 - see details at #180 |
Windows 7, Node 0.11 32-bit. node-sqlite3 2.1.7 fails on node-gyp rebuild. I know you don't have it prepared to work with an unstable version, but I was hoping it would work so I could test the new yield/generators available with node now.
