It would be nice, for there to be a customizable list of predefined objects that you would be able to select from when placing new objects within a level. Selecting a preset would set the object type and add several predefined attributes for defining the objects behavior.

example:
preset->asteroid
type=asteroid
X & Y=whatever
(new attribute) speed=3
(new attribute) direction=random


This could add quite a bit of versatility to the level editor and would speed up level production in levels that have high numbers of objects.
