Adding data to existing address-node is not possible

In the Netherlands it is good use to add POI data to the existing address nodes if this node exists, which is almost always the case. All buildings have been imported (and get frequently updated) with their proper address-node.
In a previous version it was possible to add to existing address nodes, in more recent versions this behaviour has been (unfortunately) deleted.
As a result we have now numerous POI with duplicated (very often faulty) address data.
It would be very useful to have this functionality back again.
