ERDDAP's built-in rendering of non-map plots seems pretty lame, so I think we need to go full-on knitr (via Travis) on this so we can embed code chunks into our .md files.

I also want to enable the python reticulate engine so we can embed python as well as R (examples)

it's kinda working... might need knitron?
In theory we shouldn't though.
