While I can toggle the source code view would be absolutely awesome to get a side-by-side view with source-code on left and rendered markdown on right.

The response many would give to this request is that a large number of applications currently work exactly as described in the request, but Mark Text is designed to meet the demand for WYSYWIG editing.
