Function to compute Chao's alpha and beta diversities

This function computes alpha and pairwise beta diversity values for a set of communities, following the unified framework of Chao et al. (Ann. Rev. Ecol. Evol. Sys., 2014).

This function is based on functions provided in package entropart (https://cran.r-project.org/package=entropart, Marcon et al. PloS One, 2014).
