change font color in title

dear marp-users!

trying to change the color of the title and so far I can't do it.
this snippet does change the background of all h1 - including title, but the font color is only applied for all except the title.

theme: gaia
style: |
  h1 {
    color: #f00;
    background-color: #ccc;
  }

I'm probably missing some very small thing, could you maybe point me there? Thank you!

Ha!

turns out I was using a bold title

# **some title**

and without the ** it just works. Knew it was something small.
