The educational objectives of the subject are: to learn the main concepts necessary to understand and analyze international economic relations; to introduce the issues that arise for both companies and governments from international economic relations; to know the most important theoretical approaches to international economic transactions, especially regarding international trade and the policies that derive from it; to offer a current (empirical and theoretical) view of the processes of international economic integration; and to introduce the study of international economic institutions, their objectives, competencies, and functioning.
Classes are held in Classroom 4 on Tuesdays from 09:00 to 11:00 and on Thursdays from 11:15 to 13:15.
The evaluation of learning will be conducted through:
- Midterm exam (30%)
- Problem sets (20%)
- Final exam (50%)
- Task: Analyze the estimates of Spain's Gross Domestic Product for the second quarter of 2022. All the details are in the [pdf].
