I have two Phorus PS5 Play-Fi speakers in a stereo configuration.

Any way to stream to them as to a stereo pair? The Play-Fi protocol supports stereo.

Well, It depends how they build this stereo setup. The DLNA protocol does not specify pairs of devices. So the solutions companies offer to that problem are always hacks. I have seen solutions where each device just opened a connection by itself and played the stream, but the result was asynchronous playback.

Google does it the right way with its Chromecasts. Just one of the Chromecasts in a group opens a connection, retrieves the data and distributes it synchronously to all its friends in its group. So, from my application's view the whole concept is not being changed. It still just streams to one (virtual) device, and the manufacturers firmware deals with the distribution between to others.
There are also nice DLNA devices which do it the same way, e.g. from Raumfeld.
