I prefer posts hidden behind content warnings to be expanded by default. The mastodon web interface has a setting for this:

preferences > appearance > sensitive content > always expand posts marked with content warnings

When enabled, CW posts are expanded by default in the web interface, but not in the android app. Ideally the android app would respect this setting and behave in kind.
