I'm not a developer, but I have a question.

Does the community have plans how to "attach" video streaming to Mastodon?

Is there any way to integrate Jitsi or some other service?

Hi 👋 @Gargron — anything new on this? I'd love to use https://ecamm.com to stream on mastodon like people do with Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, ... I guess the "easy" answer is to post the YouTube link to the live stream, sure.
