If you write a post with images attached without posting it and then "delete-and-redraft" something else, the delete-and-redraft overwrites everything already in the compose box.

If the thing that is attached is a poll, the poll options are left attached to the compose box.

If the thing you're deleting and redrafting has an image attached and the thing you're overwriting has a poll attached, weird things happen:

Expected behaviour

When deleting and redrafting, everything already in the compose box should be removed.

Actual behaviour

When deleting and redrafting, some attachments that were already in the compose box are not removed.

Steps to reproduce the problem

  1. Write a new post in the compose box. Attach a poll. Do not click "toot".
  2. Find a post with an image attached and go to "delete and redraft".
  3. Notice that the toot has both an image and a poll attached, and there is no way to remove the poll.
  4. Click "toot", and get the error message "422: Cannot attach more than 4 files". The only way to start over is by reloading the page.

Specifications

Mastodon v3.0.1, Chrome on Mac.

This is still happening.

More simply, once you add a poll to the draft window, there is no way to delete it from that window.

The only workaround I found was to start a reply to any random toot, which still keeps the poll in the reply compose window; then click the "❌" button on the copy of that toot, that also deletes the reply window and (finally) the poll.
