problem with 'open with...'

i opened up a .tar.gz file, which had a .deb file in it and right-click 'open' will load up gdebi which i dont want as i want to open up the .deb file as an archive in engrampa, so i went for 'open with...' only to realize that after i select an entry in the 'open with' dialog, it will make it the permanent open option there after, which i dont want as then i'd have to change the behaviour back.

Any file that is double clicked will be opened outside of engrampa. This is how it designed to work and personally I don't like to see this changed.

i'm not asking for a file to opened inside of engrampa, i'm asking for the ability to open a file with other programs associated with that file type, without changing the program associated with that file type.

Ah, now I see. Well this is how it was designed and it is also how file-roller, on which engrampa is based, works.
