Description

The menu open animation on Safari displays visual jank. The items are hidden and re-display as the menu is animating open.

Reproduction

On Safari go to https://material-web.dev/components/menu/, expand the interactive demo, and click a menu button to open it.

Expected: the menu animates open smoothly.
Actual: the items blink once as the menu is opening.

No or unsure. This never worked, or I haven't tried before.
