When restarting the bridge to clear the zombie nick spam that builds up..... This being on a moderated channel with people set to voice... Sometimes it just can't figure out weather someone has voice or not and it's quite random weather it eventually decides on the correct powerlevel for them

irc_bot_freenode changed the power level of @freenode_echoline:nkli.net from Default (0) to 1.

For example it ends up looking like this in the chat window.

i can confirm this on, mode +m on irc channels prevents the proper relaying of messages from and to the matrix-channel. While you can post by telling the appservice-bot "!cmd PRIVMSG " it will post the message in the irc channel from your matrix account, but it doesn´t get shown in the matrix channel. The +m mode was intended to keep unregistered users quiet, but even if the bot and the matrix account are identified by nickserv (or q on quakenet) the channels in matrix are unusable....

is there any development on this?
I can read and post in the channel, but the power levels from each user are constantly changing from Default to Custom (1) and vice verse..

setting modePowerMap: v to 0 solved the switching

Hmm, I think I'm seeing something similar. A channel once had +m in the distant past. It no longer has +m now, but the Matrix room still has m.room.power_levels with "events_default": 1. As a result, I cannot write any message to the room ("You do not have permission to post to this room").

More info here: https://matrix.to/#/!BAXLHOFjvDKUeLafmO:matrix.org/$SNYSGOTLiJ3Gdd5UV466xgQ/Y1YAnlc8tcz5TvnPf1k?via=matrix.org&via=privacytools.io&via=kde.org

Would really appreciate at least some workaround to get the bridge to resync channel modes.
