The domain of a room ID is the server name of the homeserver which created the room/event.

Just need to drop the /event off the end I think.

oh, that's a hangover from room v1/2 event ids. and it's still true for such events.

yea, I think the editor at the time (probably me) took off the "/event" on the first half of the sentence, but probably didn't continue reading to see if there were more.

The domain bits should already be copied over to room version 1 (as v2 inherits v1's grammar here)
