How to use it?

[1] - How to use this plugin in core PHP

Add This inside head tag

  <link rel="stylesheet" href="path/to/ijaboCropTool.min.css">

Add this before closing body tag

 <script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.5.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
 <script src="path/to/ijaboCropTool.min.js"></script>

Add sample input file tag between body tag

  <input type="file" name="file" id="file">

After all required scripts (JQuery and ijaboCropTool Plugin), you need to add the followings:

<script>
       $('#file').ijaboCropTool({
          preview : '.image-previewer',
          setRatio:1,
          allowedExtensions: ['jpg', 'jpeg','png'],
          buttonsText:['CROP','QUIT'],
          buttonsColor:['#30bf7d','#ee5155', -15],
          processUrl:'process/crop.php',
          onSuccess:function(message, element, status){
             alert(message);
          },
          onError:function(message, element, status){
            alert(message);
          }
       });
  </script>

On server side

   <?php //crop.php file
        $path = 'files/';
        $file = $_FILES['file']['tmp_name'];
        $new_image_name = 'UIMG'.date('Ymd').uniqid().'.jpg';

        if(move_uploaded_file($file, $path.$image_name)){
            echo json_encode(['status'=>1, 'msg'=>'success', 'name'=>$new_image_name]);
        }else{
            echo json_encode(['status'=>0, 'msg'=>'failed']);
        }
   ?>

[2] - How to use this plugin in Laravel

Laravel is a web application framework with expressive, elegant syntax. We believe development must be an enjoyable and creative experience to be truly fulfilling. Laravel takes the pain out of development by easing common tasks used in many web projects.

Add This inside head tag

  <link rel="stylesheet" href="{{ asset('path/to/ijaboCropTool.min.css') }}">

Add this before closing body tag

 <script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.5.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
 <script src="{{ asset('path/to/ijaboCropTool.min.js') }}"></script>

Add sample input file tag between body tag

  <input type="file" name="file" id="file">

After all required scripts (JQuery and ijaboCropTool Plugin), you need to add the followings:

<script>
       $('#file').ijaboCropTool({
          preview : '.image-previewer',
          setRatio:1,
          allowedExtensions: ['jpg', 'jpeg','png'],
          buttonsText:['CROP','QUIT'],
          buttonsColor:['#30bf7d','#ee5155', -15],
          processUrl:'{{ route("crop") }}',
          withCSRF:['_token','{{ csrf_token() }}'],
          onSuccess:function(message, element, status){
             alert(message);
          },
          onError:function(message, element, status){
            alert(message);
          }
       });
  </script>

Route

use App\Http\Controllers\UploadController;

 Route::get('upload',[UploadController::class, 'index']);
 Route::post('crop',[UploadController::class, 'crop'])->name('crop');

On Server side.

use Illuminate\Support\Facades\File;
....
....

  function crop(Request $request){
      $path = 'files/';
      if (!File::exists(public_path($path))) {
           File::makeDirectory(public_path($path),0777,true);
      }
      $file = $request->file('file');
      $new_image_name = 'UIMG'.date('Ymd').uniqid().'.jpg';
      $upload = $file->move(public_path($path), $new_image_name);
      if($upload){
          return response()->json(['status'=>1, 'msg'=>'Image has been cropped successfully.', 'name'=>$new_image_name]);
      }else{
            return response()->json(['status'=>0, 'msg'=>'Something went wrong, try again later']);
      }
    }

If you have used Image Intervention Package in your project, you can use the following code:

use Illuminate\Support\Facades\File;
use Intervention\Image\Facades\Image;
....
....

  public function crop(Request $request){
        $path = 'files/';
        if (!File::exists(public_path($path))) {
             File::makeDirectory(public_path($path),0777,true);
        }
        $file = $request->file('file');
        $new_image_name = 'UIMG'.date('Ymd').uniqid().'.jpg';
        $resize_upload = Image::make( $file->path() )
                              ->fit(250, 250)
                              ->save( $path.$new_image_name );

        if($resize_upload){
            return response()->json(['status'=>1, 'msg'=>'Image has been cropped successfully.', 'name'=>$new_image_name]);
            }else{
                return response()->json(['status'=>0, 'msg'=>'Something went wrong, try again later']);
           }
        }

[3] - How to use this plugin in CodeIgniter

CodeIgniter is a powerful PHP framework with a very small footprint, built for developers who need a simple and elegant toolkit to create full-featured web applications.

Place this between head tags

  <link rel="stylesheet" href="<?= base_url('path/to/ijaboCropTool.min.css') ?>">

Place this before closing body tag

  <script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.5.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
  <script src="<?= base_url('path/to/ijaboCropTool.min.js') ?>"></script>

Add a sample input file tag inside body tag.

   <input type="file" name="file" id="file">

After all required scripts (JQuery and ijaboCropTool Plugin), you need to add the followings:

  <script>
      $('#file').ijaboCropTool({
          preview : '.image-previewer',
          setRatio:1,
          allowedExtensions: ['jpg', 'jpeg','png'],
          processUrl:'<?= site_url('upload/process') ?>',
          withCSRF:['<?= csrf_token() ?>','<?= csrf_hash() ?>'],
          onSuccess:function(message, element, status){
            alert(message);
          },
          onError:function(message, element, status){
            alert(message);
          }
      });
  </script>

On Server side, you will need to create a controller and method that matches to your processUrl Option.

 function process(){
        $path = 'files/';
        $file = $this->request->getFile('file');
        $new_image_name = 'UIMG'.date('Ymd').uniqid().'.jpg';

        if($file->move($path, $image_name)){
            echo json_encode(['status'=>1, 'msg'=>'success', 'name'=>$new_image_name]);
        }else{
            echo json_encode(['status'=>0, 'msg'=>'failed']);
        }
    }

N.B: For CodeIgniter, You have to disable CSRF Protection on this request. To do that, you will Update Filter.php file app\Config\Filters.php and define URLs that are free to CSRF Protection.

<?php namespace Config;

use CodeIgniter\Config\BaseConfig;

class Filters extends BaseConfig
{
	// Makes reading things below nicer,
	// and simpler to change out script that's used.
	public $aliases = [
		'csrf'     => \CodeIgniter\Filters\CSRF::class,
		'toolbar'  => \CodeIgniter\Filters\DebugToolbar::class,
		'honeypot' => \CodeIgniter\Filters\Honeypot::class,
	];

	// Always applied before every request
	public $globals = [
		'before' => [
			//'honeypot'
			// 'csrf',
			'csrf'=>[
				 "except"=>[
                    'upload/process', //upload = Controller, process = method
                    'x_controller/x_method'
				  ]
			]
		],
		'after'  => [
			'toolbar',
			//'honeypot'
		],
	];

	// Works on all of a particular HTTP method
	// (GET, POST, etc) as BEFORE filters only
	// like: 'post' => ['CSRF', 'throttle'],
	public $methods = [];

	// List filter aliases and any before/after uri patterns
	// that they should run on, like:
	//    'isLoggedIn' => ['before' => ['account/*', 'profiles/*']],
	public $filters = [];
}
