Pimax 5K 8K with Droolon Pi1

In addition to downloading and installing the Quad-Views-Foveated program on your PC, you must complete all of the steps below in order to use eye tracking with your Pimax 5K/8K with Droolon Pi1 module!

  • You must use the PimaxXR OpenXR support. SteamVR OpenXR is not supported, due to its lack of eye tracking support. Once you installed PimaxXR, open the PimaxXR Control Center (from your desktop or the 'Start Menu') and make sure that PimaxXR is set as your active OpenXR runtime. Also make sure to enable 'Allow use of the eye tracker'.

  • Download and install the 7invensun runtime, specifically the version modified by GuppyExpress. Follow the instructions to install and calibrate the eye tracker. PimaxXR will automatically detect the Droolon Pi1 module once the 7invensun runtime is running.
