No module named 'nitf'

I have built nitro using the following:

python waf configure --enable-debugging --require-python --enable-64bit --prefix=installed
python waf build
python waf install

From there I have set up my NITF_PLUGIN_PATH

I have followed along with issue #132 to resolve this, however there is no installed/lib/python3.5/site-packages/ folder contained within my installed version of nitro to set as my PYTHONPATH.

How do I go about getting the python bindings to work?

Have now also attempted to import CMake python build via export PYTHONPATH=/nitro/build/modules/python/nitf:${PYTHONPATH}

This did not work either.
