The Quick-and-Easy

  • TFWP doesn't like to recreate the guide process, as it duplicates effort and guarantees too many resources for beginner-level code developers. Sometimes too much information can be just as bad as too little - call it a weird mechanism of the mind. This is why TFWP prefers the Code Path guide repository. If you cannot figure out how to get up and running with our brief but concise ReadMe, please visit their GitHub page here. It gives an excellent breakdown on what to expect from Android development. The focus on getting started with Android Studio is located as a PowerPoint here.

  • If you don't like PowerPoints (we don't either) there is an excellent tutorial straight from the Android Studio Website on installation for a multitude of device Operating Systems (OS) here. I have hot-linked the videos for Windows and Mac below.

  • You can always search for it in your preferred search engine. This is the last ditch option, as the guides located on tutorial pages don't always get updated to the newest versions. Furthermore, search engines often show you the tutorials that are the most optimized for search results but not the most likely to gain you value and traction.
