inline true and no popup but TypeError: Cannot read property 'apply' of undefined

I want no popup but also can choose the date
the code like this:

inline: true,

var day = (date.getDate()).toString();
var month = (date.getMonth() + 1).toString();
var year = date.getFullYear();

but I got wrong message like this
TypeError: Cannot read property 'apply' of undefined
at Object.popup (calendar.min.js:1)
at Object.selectDate (calendar.min.js:1)
