Funny you say that the point is "to help you get to reliable sources of information of what's going on, as you won't get it from official media sources in Russia", yet you provide a link for a Tor mirror of BBC, which is of course very well know for their unbiased way of doing journalism. You're targeting Russian developers by the way, majority of whom are aware of VPN's existence, and also are probably reading different Telegram channels making news on the whole debacle. |

I think the coup is the only hope for you and for the neighboring countries, and from what I can see, sooner or later you'll have that happening. Blocking GitHub and npm in Russia may also be good for you, as it may help you realize how enslaved you are by your government. I don't mind that.
@dmitry-ra I realize that. Still, many developers never tried the Tor browser (e.g. I didn't so far, and still don't have a real need for that). Another reason is, that fact that developers know the tools to get to a reliable source of information doesn't mean they do. I'm pretty sure many (and the number of negative responses here proves that), choose to feel "safe" under what Russian propaganda sells in official channels. In such a case, the message I'm showing is disturbing, definitely not one developer wants to see, and that is its purpose. You need to wake up and search for the truth. Do you realize that your country is at risk to go bankrupt in the next days?:

Guys, just a kind reminder, again. This is not a place for politics. If you want to do this, just delete account from github and go somewhere else. There are a lot of places to let you make this. All you are trying to achieve now, it's just a painful death for your library for nothing. There are a lot of alternatives around to not have some brainwashed crazy developer who is bloating software for political reasons. Just stop doing this until everyone just remove this piece of code out of everywhere. It's not even a library but extension and this become very annoying. Are you still sure you are good enough to survive? And your goal to spam github is not good at all. Also result you want to have is not achievable. You know about version lock don't you? |

Этот относится к завоеванию и геноциду. Наша же позиция - именно защита близких по крови и про-русских в Крыму и на восточной украине. Если для этого потребуется перелопатить близлежащие земли - значит таково судьба этого народа. |

У них нет инфраструктуры, поэтому они решили что с Россией они поднимутся быстрее, чем сами по себе и к тому же, они одни не смогли бы защитить себя от Украины. Россия вбухала кучу бабла в них. Да цены там поднялись и ЗП невысокие, но как бы за все нужно платить. Многие живут бедно, но в составе Украины было не особо лучше. |

Indeed this discussion is going nowhere, I'm locking it for now. To all Russian developers that are upset by the manifest: The invasion of Ukraine (a democratic European country) has shown to the world that we must no longer ignore the fact that you're silently accepting what your government is doing. The situation that's now happening in Russia resembles one in Germany in the 30s, when all the nation, through an internal propaganda machine, was turned hostile against the outer world. We've learned where it leads. We must act, and we believe that you in Russia must act to stop this. The point of this manifest is to remind you every day about that until it's solved. If anyone blocks GitHub or npm in Russia because of the manifest, it'll be your government. It is your government that's the oppressor here, not us. |

I'm opening this issue to serve as a single place to serve any (possibly constructive) discussions, towards the anti-Russian invasion on Ukraine manifest that's part of this package.
As I mentioned in 28de285 whole point of this manifest, is to urge all Russians that see it, to seek reliable sources of information of what's going on, as you won't get it from official media sources in Russia.
It's very important for you and the whole world that you realize what's really going on.
Note that I'm affected by the situation directly, and it's why I've decided to put this manifest in.
Reiterating what I've mentioned before:
So far, my country (Poland) has welcomed 1.5 million people from war-stricken Ukraine. They are ordinary, regular people, like you and me. Now frightened and without a place to live.
My friends regularly take a car, fill it with basic needs, go to the border, leave the products, and take Ukrainians who fleed their homes, offering them a free ride to one of the major cities. Some others take shifts to help manage situations in large public shelters. I personally let two Ukrainian women stay in one of my flats.
Your army is bombing civilian buildings, and hospitals, killing women and children. AFAIK, they see it the only way to crush the spirit of Ukrainians.
