on MacOS
$ ./autogen.sh $ ./configure --with-pd-include=/Applications/Pd.app/Contents/Resources/src/ --prefix=$HOME/Documents/Pd/externals/ $ make
make install will install externals to ~/Documents/Pd/externals/pd/externs .... so that need to be fixed with ./configure
