question

What is the minimal feature set after which we're ready to release a v1.0? This 1.0 release could also coincide with a pypi release, but it doesn't need to. Also, we can choose a 0.0.1 if that feels better.

Some ideas:

  • more documentation?
  • update readme to include reader/writer details.
  • more examples?
  • specific features: parallelized reading/writing?
