After months of being completely inactive on Instagram out of personal decision, I have finally decided that I have no remaining motivation to continue with the development of this app, as I no longer use it. I sincerely regret all the unfulfilled promises I made in 2021: I failed y'all, and made you wait a long time for nothing. I hope someone else takes over the development. The Codeberg repo will become a public archive, for those who wish to take the code and make it great again.
For now, all I can say is, please consider migrating to PixelFed or any other decentralized and open platform. Instagram future is not bright for us, privacy conscious people.

The project codebase lives on in this fork of a fork :) Hopefully to recommence development when time permits.
