It would be useful to map null to a blank/empty value. Maybe even by default instead of "null". Table views don't look great with a ton a "null" string values. Also other field types like strings, when null map to blank by default.

Currently, it doesn't allow a blank value to be saved. An empty string can be saved, but doesn't seem to work either.
