We hope to increase the functionality of formatting sql, which will bring great convenience to the work of data analysts.

Guys, you mean indentation and so on in native SQL question input form?

I mean here is a function button, its role is to format the sql we entered, so that sql looks clearer and easier to understand.

Yes, we just need a function no matter it is through a website's button or press a keyboard button that can format the sql that we code.

Aha, personaly I write a test SQL in SQL client in proper formated form and this kind of feature is not important for me. But I would like to use TAB key to indent code for significant count of spaces or have posibility to indent whole code block and vice versa. Or feature to comment out whole block ... But these features looks like implementation of whole SQL IDE to native SQL functionality and it is not needed as the all better way to code SQL is to use proper tools, not HTML form input/textarea element.

... just saying ... 🤔

We just want the metabase function to be more complete, let users get more convenience, and put more energy into analyzing the data. I hope to see this feature in future versions.

dupe of #9142 (using the more recent just because that one follows our issue format more closely.)
