SimplicityPlayer v1.0 Release

I'm thrilled to announce the first official release of SimplicityPlayer, v1.0! This release marks a significant milestone in my journey to provide an accessible and user-friendly audiobook player for individuals with visual impairments. Developed with love and a deep personal motivation, SimplicityPlayer aims to make enjoying audiobooks a simple pleasure for everyone, especially for those who, can no longer enjoy reading due to visual impairment.

Highlights of v1.0:

  • Easy-to-Use Interface: Operate the player with just a physical button for play/pause and RFID cards to change audiobooks. It's designed to be straightforward for users with visual impairments.
  • LCD Feedback: A simple LCD display provides high-contrast visual feedback, enhancing usability without being essential for operation.
  • RFID Audiobook Selection: Change audiobooks effortlessly by placing RFID cards on the reader, making the selection process as easy as possible.
  • Web Interface: Manage audio media and control the player remotely using the simple web interface.
  • Customizable: Built on a Raspberry Pi, the SimplicityPlayer is designed to be customizable and expandable to fit a variety of needs and preferences.

Get Involved:

This project thrives on community feedback and contributions. Whether it's suggesting new features, reporting bugs, or contributing to the code, we welcome your involvement. Check out the CONTRIBUTING.md file for more information on how you can help make SimplicityPlayer even better.
