This repository contains all the speeches by Her Majesty the Queen (Elizabeth II), the Duke of Edinburgh (Prince Philip), the Duke of Cambridge (Prince William), the Duchess of Cambridge (Catherine Elizabeth Middleton), the Duke of Sussex (Prince Harry), the Duchess of Sussex (Rachel Meghan Markle), from 1990 to April 2021, collected on the official Website https://www.royal.uk/speeches.
Files are presented in .txt format, each file containing the title of the speech. The files name are structured as follows: NobleTitle_year_titleOfTheSpeech[0:20]. The speeches are released under the The Royal Household © Crown Copyright, whose conditions can be found here: http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/doc/open-government-licence/version/3/.
I also upload the jupyter notebook Scraping_royal_family_GitHub, that shows how I collected the texts. I generally followed the indications found in https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-scrape-web-pages-with-beautiful-soup-and-python-3 to get started with BeautifulSoup.
