Hi all,

We were discussing to organize a one day or half day event during a conference people may go this year.

To try to maximize the number of people, could you mention the conference you are going or you would go if we do this.

We are proposing these ones, please reply with more options:

https://www.embo-embl-symposia.org/symposia/2019/EES19-10/ Heidelberg/October
http://www.ashg.org/2019meeting/ Houston/October
http://www.keystonesymposia.org/19D7 Korea/April

I will give a couple of days and then send a doodle to see which place gets more votes!

Thanks!

Hi all,

As we were discussing here #28, we were trying to set up a 1-day meeting during a conference that many of us may go.

Can you reply to me saying if you go to any of these conferences, or you may go if we do a meeting at that conference?

https://www.embo-embl-symposia.org/symposia/2019/EES19-10/ Heidelberg/16-19 October
http://www.ashg.org/2019meeting/ 15-19 Houston/October
http://www.keystonesymposia.org/19D7 14-18 Korea/April
https://ncifrederick.cancer.gov/events/conferences/CCRRNABIOLOGY2019 Bethesda (DC)/April 11/12.

Let me know as soon as possible, we'll decide in the next 2 weeks what to do.

PS: please share this with whoever will be interesting to assist.

PS: I'll repost this in GitHub, you can answer only in one place, I'll take care of processing the answers.

Cheers

I will be at the NCI RNA meeting April 11/12. I will not be at Keystone and don't know about the others yet.
Thank you.

I think Heidelberg/16-19 October is the one with more votes, for now, maybe that serves as motivators to go there. The plan is to have a couple of people to be responsible to organize this, @BastianFromm , would you mind to work for me to try to organize a small meeting during that conference?

Some of you will be at the same conference, maybe a good chance to meet:

@xbdr86 and @mhalushka at the NCI RNA meeting
@carriewright11 and @BastianFromm , @marcfriedlander at the Keystone

As well, please talk about this project with other people when you are there :) if you present something you can mention us or add it to the poster somehow. I can send you some stickers with our logo. Let me know!

Cheers

Hi all,

Bastian got us a room to meet EMBL symposium happening 16-19 October. The conference starts 2pm, and before that is the registration.

We were thinking to make a 3hours meeting that day, from 10pm to 13pm, I think that is enough to re-group.

And do something like this:

10 openning
10:15 talk 1
10:45 talk 2
11:15 talk 3
11:45 panel discussion (direction of the group)

If anybody has any idea, let us know.

Hi all,
sorry I won't be able to make it to the meeting, but it's great that you will have this occasion to meet and steer some ideas!
Concerning ideas of discussions, just to throw it out there, I wonder if the miRTop group wouldn't benefit to have a bit more structured organization? What I mean by that is having a few people in charge of key aspects of the group function. So far Lorena has been impressively leading the group and managing it all by herself but if we want miRTop to continue to develop and broaden, Lorena will eventually need help. So as a vague idea, we could discuss "responsibilities" and after the meeting organize some sort of vote. I could imagine someone in charge of updating the miRTop group description (some sort of webmaster), someone leading each subproject, someone more on the "communication" side (Twitter, etc), ...
Here were my two cents for this meeting!
Cheers,
Thomas
