And why do you think that IPv6 isn't supported already? :)

An incoming IP address is not validated (iit's a little bit controversial approach, but nevertheless), all exceptions are generated on the level of GeoIP2 library. And it has IPv6 support.

At the same time one need to add IPv6 support to Google Maps plugin. It's related to both Mibew/google-maps-plugin#2 and Mibew/mibew#197.
