planet generation #965
Comments
If you don't mind helping us to test a few things please, we can try to find a fix - we can't do the testing as we don't have your modpack.
Obviously you should backup your world (or create a new world) before changing anything in the /mods folder, as changing mods will make changes to the existing world. Also as a general point, please confirm
I have personally tested GC with: Mekanism, IC2, BuildCraft, Tinker's Construct, Thaumcraft, Biomes o' Plenty, Natura, and Extra Utilities so it's less likely that it's any of those. But it's possible a version update broke something. |
Alright, I will start doing that. Thank you very much for the suggestion! |
alright, well i don't think it's a problem with any mods messing with it. Because when i try to place said blocks from the mod they place and everything seems to be in shape. so it has to be something to do with the world/map generation. i'm currently still testing and re-testing my options. |
here is the crash report i have gotten, every time it crashes when i get to the planet. ---- Minecraft Crash Report ---- Time: 9/7/14 7:29 PM java.lang.RuntimeException: Already decorating!! OK this is a bug (bad coding) in CofH's "flat bedrock" feature. The workaround is to set CofH's config to have less thickness of flat bedrock, maybe only 1 layer. This issue is covered a couple of times in the closed issues on the Github, also here: http://forum.micdoodle8.com/index.php?threads/known-incompatibilities-and-cross-mod-issues-1-6-4.4313/ Please re-open if that doesn't solve your issue, but I think it will. |
alright! thank you so much! I have resolved the problem thanks to you! i have to thank you so much for not only generously helping me out with my problem but also replying so quick! so again thank you! |
I have a rather large mod pack, and i have just added this mod to it.
Everything from what i know seems to work with the mod, but whenever i try to take a rocket to any planet (mars, moon) the planet will not generate and i'm left with a empty yet colored silhouette of the the planet but no ground. so i just fall. please help, thank you for your time.
