When a user visits an ILP-kit instance and has no authenticated session they are presented with the option of “Making a deposit”. This means providing the user account on the local ILP-Kit to credit and an amount. When the user clicks “Deposit”, the website calls the paymentRequest API to accept payment and offers SPSP as an accepted payment method.
If the user doesn’t have an SPSP capable payment app installed the ILP-Kit may accept other forms of deposit (depending on the settlement methods configured) or provide the user with instructions on how to install the payment app at their own ILP-Kit.
