The name of the tool has been changed to 'Compliance Utility':
The 'Unified Labeling Support Tool' grew over time to manage not only sensitivity labels and policies (Unified Labeling), but also DLP, sensitive information types, data classifications and more. Today, all under the hood of the Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal. This gave rise to the idea of reflecting the extended range of functions in the name of the tool, and so the new name 'Compliance Utility' was born.
Use of online manual instead of local help files:
With this version, html help files are no longer supplied. To simplify the maintenance of the manual and keep it more up to date, the manual is now only available online. The html help has been migrated to GitHub Markdown.
Script code optimizations:
Some functions have been adapted or optimized for use with the new online manual and some to consider the changes made by Purview Information Protection.
Feature 'RECORD PROBLEM' expanded by additional log files:
The feature RECORD PROBLEM now collects basic system information (SystemInformation.log), a collection of Windows Scheduled Tasks (ScheduledTasks.csv) and Microsoft Purview Information Protection Windows Event log (PIP.evtx).
Feature 'Labels and policies' expanded by auto-labeling details:
The feature 'Labels and policies' now also collects auto-labeling policies and rules and the function now exports data to several .xml files.
Feature 'Protection templates' now logs in .xml files:
Instead of logging the data in a text-based log file, the function now exports data to several .xml files.
Features 'Labels and polices' and 'DLP rules and policies' on Apple macOS:
The features 'Labels and polices' and 'DLP rules and policies' are now available on Apple macOS.
Fixed an issue with feature 'User license details':
Fixed a problem where the 'User license details' function in the command line was not executed.
Fixed an issue with disable logging on Apple macOS:
Fixed an issue on Apple macOS where logging for Microsoft 365 Apps was not disabled when the feature RECORD PROBLEM was interrupted.
