Description of the new feature / enhancement

Hello,
I believe that very useful option would be disabling "Keep Awake" feature while coputer is on battery. As soon as a lapptop is plugged-in the option would get activated.

Scenario when this would be used?

Keep Awake option is automatically disabled while laptop is working on battery.
Keep Awake option is automatically enabled when laptop is plugged -in into the grid.

I think this would result in exactly the same thing as the default sleep-settings for AC/DC.

Yeah, I'll second what @Jay-o-Way mentioned here - it seems like this would re-implement something that is already in the OS. @dnlw07 could you outline the scenario where you think this feature would be useful?

if it is already implemented in the OS I believe it would be useful to add the switch button to power toys for easier control

Eh... I am not sure how valuable that is. Awake is not trying to be a "shortcut for power settings" mainly because then we can start piling up a bunch of different features that are not really valuable on a broader scale. Especially since the setting above is a one-time setup.

The more I think about it, the more this feature actually sounds like a reasonable addition to the functionality. Basically, a battery-aware mode that kicks in only when the computer is unplugged (e.g., you took the laptop with you somewhere).

Will look at adding it in a future release.

@dend would be awesome!

Hello, I'd also like to see this implemented.
Although it has been stated that this would replicate the system settings - not quite. Various people (including me) are affected with some kind of windows issue/S3 aka modern sleep/manufacturer driver issue which causes devices to sleep after "some time" despite windows settings set to sleep "Never" when on charger.

@dend I'd also appreciate this feature!
