Description of the new feature / enhancement

When searching using powertoys run, have an option that enables the user to shower currently opened windows as an alternative to alt tabbing.

Scenario when this would be used?

Sometimes its easier to just read out an opened window title rather than finding the right window when alt tabbing.

This function is already built-in. The PowerToys Run plugin is called "WindowWalker". Just look if it's activated in the PowerToys settings.

ah yeah I only just noticed it but I think missed it because the already running apps don't have the thumbnail of the app itself, and the way I was thinking it would work is the already opened apps would show up before any search is input.

you can use < to search for open windows only.

Yes it's not quite how I imagined it. Definitely would like to see some changes or additional settings added for some kind of customisations

I don't want to open second issue connected to the topic described here. I am also not soo happy about how "Window Walker" works right now. Most of the time I am working with multiple windows opened. In my workflow there is always need to change focus quickly between opened windows. Alt + Tab shortcut is uncomfortable, especially with iteration over windows previews and Alt + Tab + Shift shortcut to come back. I really would like to use Power Toys Run for this but in a little bit more convenient way than now.

Right now, to change current window, you need to open Power Toys Run, nextly type < and write something to see any result.

For me personally, results of opened windows should be visible right after opening Power Toys Run (one keyboard shortcut) or after opening Power Toys Run and typing < (without need to write anything after < character). For me it is really important to see list of opened windows in chronological use direction (last used at the top, the oldest used at the bottom, currently focused window can be omitted).

What do you thing about this? Probably author of the issue has the same on mind.

Yes definitely what I meant. Thank you for putting that in proper words. I think the point was missed with my description.
