Please could we have a hotkey to move the currently selected window to a Desktop to the left or right?

Thanks!

@Dumdidoo Both via FancyZones enabled or even included in Windows, WinKey+Shift+Left/Right arrow keys will do this.

@Dumdidoo Don't be surprised by Microsoft's misunderstanding and closure of this issue. They just want to forget that you, or anyone even asked. Windows doesn't come from Microsoft according to them. Task View is totally not broken and Windows definitely has features that macOS and Linux distros have had for years.

Don't expect Microsoft to implement it. I made a mistake coming here too.

@Poopooracoocoo missed the response. Thanks for understanding.

u wot m8. i literally told them to not expect microsoft to implement any features they want in their or my lifetime. my comment was sarcastic. but yeah I did understand their issue. they never even had to edit their title. it was immediately clear that it was about vitual desktops and not monitors/displays.

@Poopooracoocoo it wasn't clear to me. Honestly thought @Dumdidoo was talking about each desktop on each monitor.

Please assume best intentions. Being sarcastic isn't helpful and typically is misinterpret. PowerToys is has a world wide community and English may not be their first choice for communication.

If you'd like to help PowerToys out, lets chat, crutkas@microsoft.com.

Well I wasn't specifically blaming you for the state of Windows 10. But you have to admit that a lot of PowerToy suggestions are just things they wish they had in Windows, like reordering virtual desktops.

Being sarcastic isn't helpful

Well I'm talking about how PowerToys relates to Windows and what it's for. Functionality like this shouldn't need a PowerToy and should be built into Windows. I was also talking about how Microsoft manages things. Task View is broken. Windows doesn't have features that macOS and Linux have. I used sarcasm a device to shows you and Dumdidoo how tired I am of this.

typically misinterpret

But acting like Windows 10 isn't from Microsoft just feels wrong. I understand that you're very separate teams. There's an XKCD about that. Rich said that the Feedback Hub had a lot of BS and so made the WinDev repo for more serious issues. Clearly a problem. The Feedback Hub system was broken from the beginning. If we say that WinUI tooltips shouldn't have animations when animations for tooltips are off in Windows, it shouldn't be closed! It should at least be investigated on Microsoft's end. It shows users that the FBH is a black hole. It's easier to talk to Microsoft developers through random repos on GitHub or through the Chromium issue tracker than through the official channels, which there aren't really any.

With various instabilities and flaws in W10, I'm sure you've run into many of them yourself. I hope you understand my frustrations here. An easy bug for any naysayers is to right click on the start button. Watch the cursor jump to the menu.

PowerToys is has a world wide community and English may not be their first choice for communication.

Dumdidoo even thought that he used the wrong words. He shouldn't feel bad when he didn't do anything wrong. It's a shame that Microsoft happens to have another service called Windows Virtual Desktop. Again, a problem that isn't yours, but Microsoft's.

well this was an essay for something that's only tangentially related to PT lol
