Overview

This issue outlines the proposed experience to create a Dev Drive on your machine through Dev Home. With this option you can create a Dev Drive on a new VHD.

The Problem

Today a user is able to create a Dev Drive from Dev Home. However, it is only possible as part of the repo cloning experience. If a user does not wish to clone a repo then the available option directs them away from Dev Home and does not take advantage of other available Dev Home features.

Scenario

As a user, I am able to create a Dev Drive separate from other Dev Home experiences. I am able to choose:

• VHD name
• Dev Drive label
• Drive letter
• Size
• Location of the VHD file.

Would love to see a setting to enable/disable auto-mount of the vdhx on every boot.
