The library could use PIX event annotation for both Windows and Xbox One. This might also justify adding a Profile config to the vcxproj's in addition to the existing Release and Debug configs.

Since profiling can be very application specific, this seems like something that should be kept in the 'appmodel' rather than in the library. See the DeviceResources variants of the Direct3D Game VS templates. They include PIX event annotation.
