  • VSCode Version: 1.47.2
  • OS Version: Windows 10 (10.0.18363)

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Any shell, any font, run a terminal program that gives emoji (some npm ones do)
  2. view what happens

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

For example, Here's a shell prompt I started using in my shell (Nu Shell with Starship enabled) with the same font and shell in both windows terminal and in vs code. I've tried changing the fonts and shells, but the issue still persists.
