Duplicate site does not work - just an empty copy :(

I need some similar sites. So I created one, put all the things on it and saved. Thought that this site will be my "template". Will duplicate as many times as I need, edit, make some changes ... and so on. Simple thing - my thought.

But when i duplicated the first site and looked at the copy (site-01 copy) I was wondering: just an empty site. Nothing else. All the content I put on site-01 was gone, not availlable.

So, in my opinion this is not "duplicate"? Should be an exact copy of the site you duplicated. Or what did I wrong? Was searching around, looked in the man. Nothing.

Would be very great if someone could help or has an idea. Really liked MW. But I dont want x empty copies / "duplicates" and put all the same stuff in by hand again and again and again ...?

Hi, in order to use the template content, you will need do use the backup module and make backup of your site. This will make a copy of your pages with the content and the pictures.

Then on your new site, just restore the backup

hummmm, I think you missunderstood?! I'm not talking about duplicating / backup the whole website. I just want to create a copy of one existing site / file! Maybe for example: copy / duplicate site "member01" to "member02". Therefor i use the option "duplicate" which is in the editor. It makes a copy of the existing site. But the copy of the site / file is completely empty.
