User privileges

Each user has a list of privileges, defining which operations he can make. A user without privileges can only add observation records and read the red list assessment sheets.

Privilege The user can:
View full sheet
  • View the entire content of the red list assessment sheets including the revision panel, the section help notes, the historical map, the EOO polygon
  • View the saved versions of the sheets
  • View who is responsible for the texts, assessment and revision of all taxa
  • View who actually did the texts, assessment and revision of all taxa
View occurrences
  • View the distribution maps with higher precision (grid sizes < 10 km)
  • View the occurrence list table, including the data fields associated with each one except exact coordinates
  • View warnings about AOO and EOO
  • View statistics about the current status of the assessments, bibliographic list, summary reports, recent editions
Modify occurrences
  • Fully view, modify and download other people's occurrences, e.g. set them as doubtful, change taxon, etc.
Fetch and manage external occurrences
  • Import and curate external occurrence data, e.g. from iNaturalist
Download occurrences
  • Download all occurrences used in the red list assessments
  • View all submitted download jobs and download respective files
  • View exact coordinates of all occurrences used in the red list assessments
  • View assessment diagnostics (assessment errors and incomplete justifications)
  • Download entire red list assessment sheets

  • Fully edit red list assessment sheet Section x

  • Fully edit the textual descriptive fields of all sections of the red list assement sheets (i.e. fields numbered x.1)

Manage versions
  • Save and delete saved versions of assessment sheets
  • Unlock the edition of individual assessment sheets, overriding the global lock in the red list settings

  • Create new regional Red Lists for a territory
Modify taxon details
  • Modify basic information about a taxon (name, author, etc.)
  • Add synonyms
  • Create child taxa
Modify territories
  • Create and modify territories
  • Create or modify associations between taxa and territories
  • Set taxon distribution completeness
Edit full checklist
  • Use all the graph viewer editing features
  • Delete any graph node (taxon, territory, habitat) or link (relationship between two nodes, e.g. SYNONYM)
  • Create any node (taxon, territory, habitat)
  • Create any link (PART_OF, SYNONYM, HYBRID_OF, BELONGS_TO, TYPE_OF, SAME_AS)
Manage habitats
  • Create and modify habitats
Manage RedList users
  • Create, modify and delete users
  • Assign and revoke privileges to users
