Клиенты иногда грузят файлы типа название..jpg, а криво настроенные сервера могут выдать ошибку:

Предлагаю убирать лишнюю точку в названии файла.

Upd. создал тикет для WordPress, по идее убирать двойные точки должна функция sanitize_file_name из wp-includes/formatting.php
