[deviantart] How to download the "Featured" folder?

There's a collection where basically half of all images is in the Featured folder. I would like to avoid downloading ALL of the collection, since the other half is not interesting to me.

How would I do that?

By default gallery-dl only downloads the featured folder, at least from my experience.

It gets images from /gallery/all by default.
To download only from the "Featured" listing, use https://www.deviantart.com/USER/gallery/0/Featured. The ID in folder URLs doesn't matter, gallery-dl only matches them by name.
