Doesn't work on (my) Mojave even with this accessibility thing #64
Comments
I've had the same experience. When MacMediaKeyForwarder is enabled, my media keys NEVER control iTunes; when it is disabled, my media keys follow the expected (stupid) macOS behavior. Early 2013 15" MBP running Mojave. I've enabled Accessibility control. |
I stopped to use this app to use now BeardedSpice instead. But I prefered MacMediaKeyForwarder. :/ |
Not a macOS developer, but I tried cloning the repo and running the application on Mojave from AppCode (or alternatively, Xcode), and got the prompt for Apple Events permissions from AppCode: After clicking "Allow", media key presses are forwarded correctly for me on Mojave. The relevant entry subsequently appears under System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Automation: Perhaps MacMediaKeyForwarder needs to provide a way to trigger this popup using the Apple Events API? EDIT: This looks like a good reference on how to use the new AE APIs: https://www.felix-schwarz.org/blog/2018/08/new-apple-event-apis-in-macos-mojave |
