Light Color

Hi. Great plugin, thank you. In the notes it says that these lights are only partially supported and mostly on/off/brightness. But it's interesting to me that, just as a default homebridge configuration (no overrides) Siri and Home App are letting me control color, just in a weird and unreliable way. Anyone understand what it is and is not actually doing? I'd like to know because there are some automations I'd like to do.

The notes are old 😛 If your lights can support color through the API that this plugin is using; it is supported and colors should be working.

Hi milo526!

First of all: Thank you for having developed this plugin! I am a heavy Tuya user and your opened the door to HomeKit for me.

That said, however, changing color/temperature and brightness is not working 100%:
(1) The Homebridge UI does not support color/temperature
(2) Changing brightness using Homebridge UI is not reliable
(3) Trying to change color/temperature using HomeKit often fails

How can I help/contribute to addressing those issues?

Please post the result of the steps under "How to check whether the api this library uses can control your device".

Without this it is hard for me to help you with regards to this specific issue.
