Authentication Error

Authentication error: Get accesstoken failed. Username or password error!

There are many possible reasons why this error is thrown, we probably haven't discovered all of them yet 😉

Please note that I do not have any influence on the authentication systems that are used here. You enter your credentials and the plugin forwards them to Tuya. If you get this error, Tuya rejected your credentials and there is nothing I can change on that.

Third-party provider

This API does not support authentication through third parties i.e. Apple, Facebook or Google.

Please create a new account based on email + password directly.

Unsupported character in email

The . character is not allowed in front of the @ sign. I.e. test-email@example.org is allowed, test.email@example.org is not.

Please use another email-adres, some users also had luck using their mobile-phone number instead of their email-adres
